  • Lingcod is not really cod, but a member of the Greenling family
  • Available Fresh or Frozen (FAS)
  • Long-line caught product
  • An Oceanwise choice
  • Some meat may have a greenish tinge to the flesh, this is regarded as especially sweet and cooks up white
  • It’s white, moist, lean meat is considered excellent for fish and chips or as the centre of the plate
  • Excellent for Portioning, Steaking or Filleting

Handling & Storage

  • Keep product well iced and store in cooler between1º to 4º C
  • Iced properly around fish and in belly cavity will extend shelf life of fish
  • Avoid leaving product sitting in ice melt. Re-ice daily.
  • Minimum shelf life is 5 days from delivery.

Cooking Tips

  • Very moist and lean fish
  • Especially good “en papillotte”, sautéed, fried or steamed
  • Excellent substitute for Halibut, Pollock, Pacific Cod or other white fish
